The Getty Museum whose founder was the art collector, philanthropist and owner of the most profitable U.S oil company Jean Paul Getty, has today two main galleries: the Getty Villa, Getty’s Malibu own property, with more than 44.000 ancient artworks and the Getty Centre in Los Angeles designed by the architect, Richard Meier. The Museum displays works from Europe, Asia and America, from ancient times to the XX century. There is no contemporary artwork inside, but you will see the famous “Irises” of Van Gogh and beautiful paintings of the Impressionists.
And what about music in L.A.? (Here) there is a special concert hall named after Walt Disney that is the home of L.A. Philarmony. It is an extraordinary architecture masterpiece by Frank Gehry and its acoustic is very appreciated from concertgoers and lovers because it is not too far from perfect. Not only art but also fun among the things to do in LA: take your ride on the Ferries Wheel in Santa Monica admiring some of the most beautiful Californian beaches.
